Our scope of work for this project was the role of EPC Contractor. Our scope was to provide all necessary engineering, procurement, construction management, dire hire construction, pre-commissioning services, and required site infrastructure. Bemac was responsible for all necessary construction management, dire hire construction, pre-commissioning services, and required site infrastructure. Bantrel provided EPC services for the project scope, which included:

  • Field Facilities: (6) SAGD well pads, each with (32) well pairs, (6) process buildings, (6) MCC, instrument utility buildings, (6) pop tanks with containment areas, and (6) steam letdown modules.
  • Above Ground Pipeline: 900 # steam (approximately 5 km), 300 # produced gas (approximately 5 km), 300 # produced emulsion (approximately 5 km), 5 drain stations, and 4 valve stations.
  • Below Ground Pipeline: 600 # natural gas (approximately 5 km) and 300 # quench water (approximately 5 km). The below ground pipelines construction scope included:
    • Obtaining necessary permitting and crossing agreements
    • Excavation and backfilling of bore pits
    • Horizontal directional drilling
    • Hydrovacing
    • Installation of Fiberspar piping
    • Hydrotesting; and
    • Restoring Muskeg ROWs

Bemac also has a relationship with Whitefish Lake First Nation in the Bonnyville, St. Paul area. Skilled Trades were recruited from the Nation to work on JACOS Hangingstone Expansion Project.
