The Jansen Outbound Logistics (JOL) study was necessary to ensure an efficient port and rail solution for Jansen to deliver potash production to customers according to the marketing placement plan and Production Volume Estimating (PVE) model. The services included updating capital cost estimates, schedules, and risk profiles for Terminal 3 Port of Grays Harbor (PGH) and Fraser Surrey Docks (FSD) logistics solutions.

Port construction and site layout constructability input, construct entire sewer system, and sewer relocate. Scope includes installation of culvert sections and manholes, construction of cast in-situ tie-in chamber at upstream and downstream tie-in points, modification works to existing sewer to allow flow to be stopped, over-pump tie-in chambers, perform final tie-in works and diversion of flow to new sewer. The stakeholders responsibilities included:

  • Geotechnical investigation and design of multiple systems
  • Port Owner: Access required to various areas of the container terminal ahead of agreement.
  • Municipality: Approval required for design at various percent completion of overall design package.
  • Provincial/Municipal: Approval required for different road diversions in different scenarios.
  • Project Engineering: Accelerated completion of engineering.
  • Project Procurement: Early execution will require contracts to be in place earlier.
  • Provide permitting support to client for our scopes of work.

Management of engineering, construction deliverables, work packaging, sourcing, estimating, and selecting subcontractors for execution, complex interface management of private, City owned utilities, and third-party utility providers.
